Get the full experience of owning and playing a drum by building and tuning your own drum! Build a new drum or rehead one of your own. Jason will lead participants through a multi-day drum building experience in one of the cozy and convenient locations. Our staff is available during the hours below. You will likely need around 3 hours each day to work on the drum. A good hard first day will give you a head start for day two.
Each drum and each participant will work through the weekend’s tasks at different paces so the schedule below is meant as a general guide for planning. The Friday session is mainly for people with more intricate drum work, drums that need staining, or individuals who would just like to get a jump on the process by preparing their shell and/or rings for Saturday. Some people may set up even earlier pick up date. Each location has its benefits. Previous workshops in Downtown Orlando offered massage therapists on site, morning TaiChi, bar discounts at neighboring bar, lakes, and plenty of nice scenery to look at when you need a break from the drum.
