Rhythm, Dancing, Drumming, Singing, Living in Community Rhythm
Our new monthly event in Downtown Orlando showcases local artisans, vendors, performers, and community organizations with a backdrop of heavy rhythmic grooves. Drummers, dancers, and musicians of all stripes come together in rhythm for hours. Percussion heavy groups, dance troupes, and various entertainers provide breaks for the drummers. Vendors withe affordable goods, delicious foods, art, and more will be at every event.
The focus on this event has been put on community. Therefore, much effort has been put in offering an affordable items, foods, art, and interactive entertainment experience. The pricing is flexible for all income levels. If you have extenuating circumstances, but want your family in because you don’t have $3 each…. that is not a worry. For your group, please offer what you can or feel is appropriate. For a community to be productive there must be a flow of giving and receiving. When you give, it always comes back.
The early part of the event (5pm) is movie showing time. The short videos are always related to rhythm, community development, leadership, current issues, etc. We hope these videos stir discussion, reflection, and a stronger community.
The last part of the evening will have special performers and will often have a set price for entry. This price will depend on the performers, but the standard rate is $5 after 9pm. During this time we will continue to have drumming between the performances.
